New House Rules Episode
over 5 years ago – Tue, Jul 31, 2018 at 10:59:41 PM

House Rules episode 2 is done!

In the new episode of House Rules we tested out some variants for the awful, friendship-ending game called Monopoly. It was an exciting challenge for us to see if we could find a way to turn this terrible piece of trash into a fun and entertaining game.

 .

And if you missed the first episode of House Rules, check it out to see the three variants we tested for Catan!

So, what game should we do next? What are some of your favorite house rules?

Production Schedule
almost 6 years ago – Thu, Jul 26, 2018 at 01:16:58 AM

Production has started!

Today the manufacturing plant has begun printing Crypt! We spoke with Panda Games Manufacturing and here's the estimated schedule that they laid out for us:

  • July 25 Start Production
  • Late September Finish Production, Start Assembly
  • Early October Finish Assembly
  • Mid October Games are loaded onto a boat
  • Late November Games arrive at distributor
  • Early December Games shipped from distributor to your homes

Again, remember that these dates are rough estimates. Though the manufacturer assured us that there are about 3 weeks of buffer time built into the schedule, meaning barring any unexpected hold ups or disasters everything should ship on time or even (possibly, maybe, don't hold me to it, probably shouldn't even say it...) ship early.

Welp, I just jinxed it. -_-

Sleeving your Crypt cards

For those interested in sleeving your cards, we recommend getting the 100-pack of 56 x 87 mm sleeves from Mayday Games. These sleeves are fully transparent so you can see both sides of the cards (required for gameplay), they fit the cards perfectly, and when placed in the box the lid closes completely.

Play the final version of Crypt online

Tabletopia and Tabletop Simulator now have finalized versions of the Crypt cards and you can now play in English or Italian! If you try out the Only Child solo variant, see if you can beat my high score of 56!

First Look at the Dice
almost 6 years ago – Mon, Jun 25, 2018 at 12:42:30 AM

The Dice are Here!

Now that all of the image files have been approved by the manufacturer, we are starting to receive physical copies of the components. We just received the first sample of the custom-colored dice and they are looking great! We especially love how the metallic gold pips really pop! We just played our first round of Crypt using the new dice and these brightly colored servants really enhanced the aesthetic.

What are your thoughts on the colors? Are they distinct? Are they appealing? Let us know in the comments so we can submit any changes to the manufacturer.

Next, we should be receiving digital proofs of the game early next week and then a complete physical prototype of Crypt a couple weeks after that. If everything looks good, we'll be ready to move onto the printing phase.

That's all for now! Much Love,

Jeff & Andrew

Pre-Production Update, Road To Infamy Shipping
almost 6 years ago – Wed, May 30, 2018 at 12:50:26 AM

Pre-Production Update

After weeks of design touch-ups, file preparation, and meticulous proofing, all of Crypt's assets are ready to send to the manufacturer. Next up, the manufacturer will do their own round of pre-press checks and once they ensure that everything is set up correctly they will send us digital and physical proofs of the components so we can sign off to begin printing. The rest of the pre-production process will probably take a couple months, and we'll be sure to keep you updated all along the way.

Road To Infamy has shipped!

Road To Infamy is signed, boxed up, and on it's way! Backers at the Bundle and Signature Bundle reward tiers should expect to receive their copies of Road To Infamy this week. If you did not fill out your BackerKit survey yet, your copy of Road To Infamy has not yet been shipped. Make sure your survey is completed as soon as possible so we can send you your game in the next shipment.
